The Seven Spirits of God versus the False Light

By Andre Eksteen

We have spoken a great deal about the coming rapture in our recent writings, but I feel we must also address the things that prevent people, who think they are Christians, from being part of Christ’s saints. I apologise if I tread on sensitive ground, but believe me, it is with the intention of causing discomfort so that you will think again about what you are doing when you play with these things.

Have you ever wondered why Christians so easily fall for yoga, Kabbalah, New Age mysticism, and even Islamic eschatology? The reason is simple: instead of knowing the sevenfold Spirit of God, they satisfy themselves with a counterfeit light. The world promises peace, balance, energy, awakening, and unity with the divine. It sounds religious, it looks enlightened, but it is nothing more than a repackaged gateway for spirits that do not come from God. The Bible nowhere tells us to empty ourselves—it tells us to be filled with the Spirit. Yet yoga, meditation, and mysticism tell you exactly the opposite: silence every thought, empty your mind, and drift into nothingness. And that is precisely what opens the door for evil spirits to enter.

Jesus warned us: “When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first” (Matthew 12:43–45). An empty house is not holy—it is exposed. That is exactly what yoga produces: an empty house that it calls peace.

At the extreme end of yoga lies what is called kundalini awakening. I go deeper into this subject in my book, but here is the core: kundalini is described as a serpent coiled at the base of the spine. Through yoga postures, breathing exercises, and meditation, people try to awaken this serpent and push it up through the chakras. As it moves, they say, it unlocks power, light, visions, and unity with the divine.

But what really happens? People experience shivering, jerking movements, uncontrollable laughter, trance states, false visions, drunken-like states, even paralysis. Some describe burning heat rising up the spine, others have violent convulsions and scream uncontrollably. These are not signs of the Holy Spirit—they are the characteristics of an entirely different spirit. And yet multitudes are deceived into believing it is divine energy. What makes it even more tragic is that many of these manifestations are increasingly creeping into modern charismatic churches. People are told that the Holy Spirit makes them shake, fall, roar like animals, or laugh hysterically. But compare this with Scripture. When the Spirit of the LORD filled people in the Bible, they spoke boldly, prophesied truth, proclaimed repentance, and exalted Christ. Never did the Spirit of God make His people crawl, scream like animals, or convulse in chaos. The true Spirit is holy. The counterfeit spirits bring disorder.

The kundalini spirit is nothing other than another unclean spirit, a serpent pretending to offer light and power, while leaving its victims in bondage. And yet Christians who open themselves through yoga or mysticism unknowingly invite it in. They call it peace, but it is pain. They call it awakening, but it is bondage. They call it spirit, but it is not the Spirit of God.

The reason people fall into these things is because they do not know the real thing. But Scripture clearly says: “And the Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD” (Isaiah 11:2). These are the seven Spirits of God—the fullness of His Spirit that rested on Christ. John saw them in heaven: “And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God” (Revelation 4:5).

See how each of these true Spirits is counterfeited by the chakra system. The Spirit of the LORD brings true freedom in Christ, but the crown chakra promises unity with the divine without the cross. The Spirit of wisdom is pure and peaceable, but the third-eye chakra offers occult insight. The Spirit of understanding illuminates our calling, but the throat chakra teaches you to speak “your truth” above God’s Word. The Spirit of counsel leads us to holiness, but the heart chakra twists love into tolerance for sin. The Spirit of might strengthens us through God’s power, but the solar plexus chakra exalts ego and self-rule. The Spirit of knowledge begins with the fear of the LORD, but the sacral chakra feeds lust and sensuality. And the Spirit of the fear of the LORD crowns them all, but the root chakra removes reverence and grounds man in himself as his own god.

Seven against seven. The menorah of God versus the rainbow spine of mysticism. The Spirit of God fills, but false spirits empty. The Spirit of God sanctifies, but false spirits defile. The Spirit of God glorifies Christ, but false spirits exalt man. Therefore, we must discern. John wrote: “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: and every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God” (1 John 4:1–3). Paul also said: “For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace” (1 Corinthians 14:33). If it produces disorder, pride, lust, or confusion, it is not from God.

The seven Spirits of God are now burning before the throne. They are not symbolic. They are not optional. They are the fullness of the Spirit given to Christ, sent into the world, and meant to rest upon us. If you exchange that fire for chakras, sefirot, kundalini awakening, or so-called Christian yoga, you have already bowed before another altar. The time for compromise is over.

Here is the choice before you. If you have been involved, or are involved, in yoga, meditation, Kabbalah, New Age practices, or even so-called Christian yoga as offered in churches, repent, reject those practices. Close the door. Reject the spirits you have invited in and ask that the true Spirit of God fill you. Do not be an empty house. Do not play with the false light while calling yourself a Christian. Either you burn with the sevenfold Spirit of God, or you will be consumed by spirits that were never from Him. There is no middle ground. This is the moment to choose.

Prayer of Confession and Renunciation:

Lord Jesus Christ,

I confess that I have opened doors to practices that are not from You. I have sought peace, balance, and light in places that belong to unclean spirits, and I now repent before You.

I renounce yoga, Kabbalah, New Age mysticism, meditation that empties the mind, chakras, kundalini awakening, and every false spirit I have allowed. I close those doors in the Name of Jesus.

Fill me with Your Holy Spirit—the sevenfold Spirit of the LORD, the Spirit of wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, knowledge, and the fear of the LORD. Let my body, soul, and spirit be Your dwelling alone.

I declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, that He came in the flesh, that He died for my sins, and that He rose again. My life belongs to Him alone.

Amen.
