The Lie of Compassion

I would have posted this piece last week already, but then things happened that led me to rather write and share the piece on Stupidity. I did not realise that today would be people’s actual day.

For me, this sequence of events is certainly not something I ascribe to coincidence. There is a false gospel sweeping across the world—the gospel of human rights. It is not the gospel of Jesus Christ, but the gospel of Laodicea, the lukewarm church against which Revelation warns us. It is a gospel that uses mercy as an excuse to defend sin, to cover corruption, and to sell lies as truth. It is driven by governments, organisations, and even churches that would rather promote political human-rights agendas than call people to repentance.

Many churches preach that Laodicea was merely a passive, unenthusiastic congregation, but this is a blatant lie—a convenient excuse to keep church coffers full of money. A soft, diluted gospel sells better than the hard truth.

But here is the question: when you see someone close to you living in lust and uncleanness (1 Corinthians 6:9), do you confront it as God commands? And if they refuse to repent, do you put them out as the Bible says? Or do you keep quiet, nod politely, preserve the peace, and silently approve it?

If you do not condemn sin, then you support it. And if you support it, then you do not know Christ, but are a follower of Satan’s human-rights gospel.

And to you Jesus says only one thing:

“I never knew you: depart from Me.” – Matthew 7:23

Lukewarm Christians, tolerant churches, and weak preachers—Jesus spits you out.

“I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of My mouth.” – Revelation 3:15–16

The modern church preaches Laodicea’s gospel of human rights, not the gospel of Christ. They proclaim a gospel of tolerance and self-exaltation, not of repentance and self-denial. And the world has accepted it hook, line, and sinker, because it fits perfectly into the agenda of human-rights organisations such as USAID, the United Nations, and Western governments that present themselves as “charitable” while in reality financing evil.

USAID began with good intentions—a temporary programme to provide emergency aid to nations in crisis for five years. But it quickly became a political weapon, abused under the banner of human rights. It became an instrument to redefine morality, to keep governments dependent, and to promote anti-Christian ideologies. Instead of making people self-sufficient, it enslaved them to Western ideologies and empowered corrupt elites who betrayed their own people.

The church did not merely swallow this lie—they propagated it. Instead of being a prophetic voice against this agenda, they became the world’s loudspeakers. They adjusted their sermons to soften sin and abandoned the truth so as not to appear “unloving”. They showed videos of oppression and famine in churches to get people to give money, while never saying that the vast majority of these “oppressed” people were in fact where they were because they lived under Islam and other religions. Never did they warn that these people were physically oppressed because they were spiritually lost in human-rights systems that rejected Christ.

Never did they say that “aid” organisations like USAID do not only distribute food and medicine, but also ideologies that directly oppose the gospel of Christ. They exploited people’s emotions to raise money, even though they knew perfectly well that these funds were feeding the enemy’s agenda—systems that persecute Christians, suppress biblical truth, and promote evil.

They did not preach the gospel—they anaesthetised the church’s conscience and plunged people into a charity-driven slavery to the gospel of human rights. And now churches are full of people who believe that mercy means saying nothing, that love means compromising truth, and that a Christian’s role is simply to give money without asking what it is being used for.

They exploited people’s emotions, not to preach the gospel, but to subject them to the gospel of human rights. And now churches are full of people who believe that love means excusing sin, that mercy means not speaking truth, and that you are a good Christian as long as you give enough to the right causes.

But this is not love—it is cowardice. And God will hold everyone accountable for it.

USAID merely did what the church had already begun: replacing God’s truth with human rights. And now we are reaping the fruit of a world that is morally and spiritually bankrupt.

The recent cancellation of USAID by America in several countries sent shockwaves through the human-rights-obsessed world. But let us be honest—USAID did not truly help the poor. It benefited corrupt governments, promoted socialism, and financed sin. Only in the first year and a half of its existence did it show true mercy; after that it devolved into ideological control.

For the first time in many years, America is under a government that, although not necessarily Christian, at least holds Christian values and the conviction of its principles strongly enough to confront deception. They see through the corruption and manipulation, and they have the courage to intervene, while previous administrations promoted these agendas. This is a step in the right direction—a step that shows that mercy does not mean subsidising evil, but ending it.

The world mourns the loss of USAID, but not famine, poverty, or the loss of life due to diseases caused by immoral lifestyles—they mourn because their instrument of moral corruption and ideological control is collapsing.

USAID spent billions promoting LGBTQ+ agendas, abortion programmes, and organisations that drive anti-Christian agendas. It subsidised corrupt governments and helped leaders become wealthy while their people remained poor. It crippled local economies by creating dependency on foreign aid instead of encouraging self-sufficiency. It supported racial tension and socialist reforms that destroy property rights and free markets.

And yet Western liberal groups now cry foul—not over suffering or injustice, but because they have lost their cash machine. It was never about mercy—it was always about power.

The real tragedy? Churches themselves preach this lie. They twist the Bible, quote verses out of context, and create a counterfeit “divine love” that has no place for discipline, truth, or repentance. Notice how I write “divine love” in lower case—because we all know which false “god” and “jesus” are being preached here. This is not the God of the Bible, but a man-made idol that justifies sinful desires and replaces truth with lies.

They say:

• “God is love, so do not judge.”

• “Jesus died for everyone, so accept everyone just as they are.”

• “The church must be inclusive and not push people away.”

Jesus never said: “Make people happy” or “Do not offend.” He said:

“If ye love Me, keep My commandments.” – John 14:15

Love without truth is not love—it is a lie from the pit of hell. And churches that defend sin in the name of mercy are not merely misleading people—they are deliberately sending people to hell.

Look at South Africa—a national example of Laodicea in action. This is what happens when a country trades God’s truth for the world’s lies.

• Property rights are under threat: the new Expropriation Act gives the state power to seize land without compensation.

God’s law is clear and unchanging:

“Thou shalt not steal.” – Exodus 20:15

It does not matter whether you are a criminal in an alley or a politician in parliament—stealing remains sin, and sin brings judgement.

Property is a God-given right, not a state asset to be redistributed. God gave each tribe of Israel specific land and commanded that it remain in the family (Leviticus 25:23). When a government takes it, they violate God’s law and bring judgement upon themselves.

• Racial tension is high: politicians like Julius Malema sing “Kill the Boer” before 90,000 people, and the world ignores it.

But God condemns hatred and murder:

“Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.” – 1 John 3:15

“Thou shalt not kill.” – Exodus 20:13

A nation that incites murder and sows hatred does not merely invite God’s judgement—it signs its own death warrant. No nation that sheds blood will stand before the Lord’s righteousness.

• Corruption flourishes: the ANC has stolen billions, and no real prosecution has taken place.

• Eskom and service delivery are a disaster: years of abuse and cadre deployment have destroyed the country’s infrastructure.

This is not merely poor management—it is God’s judgement at work. A nation that tolerates corruption, encourages sin, and rejects truth will eventually collapse under the weight of its own evil. And this is only the beginning.

“Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house; because thou hast despised Me.” – 2 Samuel 12:10

South Africa has stolen, lied, and betrayed its own people. Now it is reaping the chaos it has sown. And this is only the beginning of its troubles.

All of this was made possible by Western aid organisations that covered up corruption while promoting socialist and anti-Christian ideologies.

Gift of the Givers is a stark example of how the church turns its back on Christ and embraces Islam—all in the name of human rights. Churches and Christians pour money into this organisation without asking whom they truly serve.

Here are the facts: Gift of the Givers is not merely a humanitarian organisation—it is an Islamic movement, founded by Dr Imtiaz Sooliman, who worked directly under his Sufi leader, Sheikh Muhammed Saffer Effendi al Jerrahi. It is grounded in Islamic principles and uses “charity” and “human rights” as tools to spread Islamic influence.

There are serious allegations that Gift of the Givers has not only promoted Islamic ideologies, but even supported terrorism (Marika Sboros: A very dark side to Sooliman’s Gift of the Givers – BizNews / Institute of Race Relations). As expected, the organisation and its founder deny everything—but when last did a wolf admit it was a wolf?

Churches across South Africa throw their money and support behind Gift of the Givers, even allowing them to preach in services, and treat them as if they were a neutral organisation. But Gift of the Givers is not a charity—it is an Islamic missionary movement. They do not only distribute food, but also the teaching of Allah, under the banner of “mercy and human rights”.

The church has sold the lie of human rights like a cheap gospel, embraced Islam as an ally, and given money with open hands to those who despise Christ. They say they help the poor, but in reality they finance the enemy’s war against God. This is the full fruit of the human-rights gospel—a spineless church, a world without truth, and a society on a highway to destruction.

God’s Judgement and the Call to Repentance

Revelation warns that Christ Himself will spit the Laodicean church out like a foul, contaminated drink. This is not figurative language—it is an imminent reality. Nations and churches that preach and defend this human-rights gospel stand on the brink of God’s judgement. South Africa is not heading there—we are already in the storm.

But there is still hope—though time is short. True mercy is not tolerating sin—it is confronting people with the truth before it is too late. True love is not leaving people comfortable in their sin—it is violently snatching them from the fire.

It is time to return to God’s unchanging truth—and to spit out the world’s poisoned lies.

We must once again proclaim:

• Repentance is necessary for salvation.

• Financing sin in the name of human rights is evil.

• True mercy is saving people’s souls, not merely improving their circumstances.

True Christianity is not there to make people’s lives more comfortable. On the contrary, it will likely make their circumstances worse. Jesus Himself said:

“And ye shall be hated of all men for My name’s sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” – Mark 13:13

The true gospel does not promise a comfortable life—it guarantees tribulation, persecution, and even suffering. True faith is not about human rights or a comfortable existence—it is about eternal life in Christ. But the church has exchanged the truth for a false message that keeps people soft and satisfied in this life—at the cost of their souls in the next.

“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” – Proverbs 14:12

The human-rights gospel has already sent many straight to hell—and it is not stopping.

Will you stay silent and watch it continue, or will you stand up and proclaim the truth?
